Angels baseball fans get a jump start on Spring Training today

Angels fans have a chance today take part in an increasingly popular event around Major League Baseball – the Spring Training send-off. It’s today, Thursday, Feb. 11 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. Yes, a few Angels veterans will be there… and yes, a promised current player or two. Below is the press release from the Halos… Cactus League is next!

ANAHEIM, CA – “Moving Day” is a 365-mile drive from Angel Stadium to Tempe Diablo Stadium, slated for Thursday, Feb. 11th in the Angel Stadium parking lot (beyond left field, near Tunnel B). Old Dominion Household Services is the presenting sponsor while the Halos send off their moving truck with equipment for Spring Training. Countdown to the event will air on AM830 KLAA and fans are encouraged to use the hashtag #Road2Tempe on social media platforms for a chance to win tickets to a future game. Hours for the event will be 12:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. (PST). “Moving Day” will feature a variety of activities for Angels’ fans of all ages, including: Autograph sessions with all-time Halo greats Garret Anderson & Chuck Finley, as well as current Angels’ hurler Tyler SkaggsQuestion & answer session with KLAA’s SportsLodge host Roger Lodge and FOX Sports West’s  Angels Weekly host Alex Curry; Prize wheel with appearance by the Strike Force Girls; An MLB Network Fast Pitching Machine; Raffle Giveaways including: Game used items Autographed merchandise Pair of Opening Day tickets Mystery prize bag…
