The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Phoenix Suns 103-96 Sunday night in front of a rowdy Loud City crowd celebrating Russell Westbrook’s first game back from knee surgery.
Westbrook started and scored 21 points, dished out 7 assists and grabbed four rebounds. Looking like his old self after he and his teammates muddled through the first 30 minutes of play, Westbrook hooked up with Kevin Durant for a third quarter lob that brought the crowd to life. The Thunder pulled away from a young Phoenix Suns team in the fourth with an 8-0 burst. Durant finished with 33 points and 10 rebounds. OKC (2-1) hosts Dallas on Wednesday night at Chesapeake Arena.
Listen to KOSU-FM Monday morning to hear reaction from Westbrook and Durant and then again on Wednesday morning when I give you my take on the Thunder with Westbrook back in the lineup.
