Oklahoma City, Okla. – The Oklahoma City RedHawks and Pacific Coast League have announced that outfielder J.B. Shuck will represent the team as a Pacific Coast League All-Star for 2011.
The 2011 Triple-A All-Star Game will be played on Wednesday July 13 at 8:00 p.m. CT from Spring Mobile Ballpark in Salt Lake City, Utah, in a battle between the Pacific Coast League and International League All-Stars.
As of July 7, Shuck is batting .269 with 17 RBI, and has scored a team-best 39 runs scored. Shuck has collected 41 walks against 24 strikeouts, and has only one strikeout every 12.29 plate appearances, the fourth-best ratio in the Pacific Coast League.
The selection is the third career All-Star selection for Shuck, as he was honored by the Texas League (AA) in 2010 and the New York-Penn League (Short Season-A) in 2008.
