From Press Release Round Rock, Texas – Sergio Perez allowed a solo home run and four singles over seven innings while Carlos Corporan knocked in a pair of runs leading the Oklahoma City RedHawks (6-11) to a 4-2 win over the Round Rock Express (12-6) before 7,715 Sunday at Dell Diamond. The RedHawks have won back-to-back games for the second time in 2011, after winning consecutive games April 14 and 15. Perez (1-2) allowed only a fourth inning lead off home run and four other hits in seven innings while putting down the last 11 Round Rock hitters in order for the winning decision. Perez induced three double plays in the first four innings of the game. Express starter Neil Ramirez (2-1) allowed three runs and three hits over five innings in the loss. Sergio Escalona (1) saved the game after allowing an inherited runner to score in the ninth inning. Oklahoma City opened the scoring in the second inning as Koby Clemens belted a leadoff home run to left-centerfield for a 1-0 score. The RedHawks added two to the score in the third inning when Carlos Corporan singled in Anderson Hernandez and Oswaldo Navarro for a 3-0 lead. Round Rock got on the board in the fourth inning with a leadoff home run from Brian Barden, cutting the RedHawks lead to 3-1. The 3-1 score remained until a Drew Locke leadoff home run in the top of the ninth inning, extending the Oklahoma City lead to 4-1. Round Rock scored a late run in the bottom of the ninth, charged to reliever Casey Fien. Endy Chavez led off with a double and later scored on a Brad Nelson double off the left field wall against Escalona, ending the scoring at 4-2.
