OKC Barons Playoff Hockey

If you want to experience a high level of professional sports and still haven’t caught a Barons game, this is a great chance. I saw these guys play regularly throughout the season and was impressed with the way they finished.
You don’t have to be a hockey nut to get behind this team and it is excellent family fare.
To the uninitiated, the AHL is one step from the NHL, a huge leap in talent from previous hockey leagues in OKC.

The teams split a brief two-game series during the regular season. The Barons won the first meeting 3-2 in overtime in Hamilton in a game seen on NHL Network. The Bulldogs returned the favor with a 3-0 shutout of the Barons December 17 in Oklahoma City. The Bulldogs are the AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens and won the North Division.

The Barons finished fifth in the West Division, but had more points than the fourth place team in the seven-team North Division. In that scenario, the fifth place team will take the fourth spot in the other division. Should the Barons advance in the first round, they will continue to play in the North Division.

Tickets for games in Oklahoma City go on sale Monday morning at the Cox Convention Center Box Office at 11 a.m. and at all Ticketmaster outlets.
